Description:
Belleweather, which is a play on the English word bellwether and the French word belle or beautiful, was started in 1998 by Jonathan and Vine Spragg to exploit some entirely new design concepts for garden buildings which are now on the website  One of our  designs went on to be voted by the public as the winner of the Gold Award in its section. Our business is making garden buildings which sit well in gardens among trees and shrubs.

Although the buildings are brand new, the style and finish are all about avoiding a brash new look which doesn’t harmonise easily in a garden.

Nowhere does the newness show up so strongly as newly varnished tongued and grooved floorboards. For this reason, the Belleweather approach is to use 3 totally different varnish stains giving the ‘broken varnish’ equivalent of broken colour, which in turn harmonises with broken colour or distressed paint.
